Satisfied

After work I went to the gym and at the moment I feel just great. They say, that if you have given blood, you shouldn't do hard work or train, but who cares about that! I did some 10 minutes warm up on ellips, then squats up to 65 kg, then benchpress with only 37,5kg, some exercises for back and shoulders and biceps and in the end I rowed on C2 for just 5 minutes. Alltogether it took me 1 h and 55 minutes.
Tomorrow I'm going to buy some tickets for the opera "Carmen". Hopefully I get some good places and the dates I have in mind are not sold out. If they are, then we just can't go, can we?
On Saturday I'll probably go to the gym again and do just some crosstraining for 1 h and 30 minutes. In the evening my sis celebrates her birthday. The first guests arrived today with a yummy cake. I ate three pieces of it because I just came from the gym. So nothing bad, I think ;-)
On sunday I'm going canoeng to Soomaa.
I will surely write about all these happenings if they are over and done!

Blood donor

Today I gave blood, 450 ml. My haemoglobin was only 125, last time it was over 140. I think it is because I haven't trained much and I'm not eating any multivitamins at the moment. Hopefully my HGB will be better in July.
Soon I'll go to the gym and in the evening or tomorrow I'll write about that.

Catchy day

Yesterday it was a very busy day: I woke up at 6:50 o’clock and went to bed at 00:00 o’clock. From 8 to 22:00 o’clock I was in the theatre where the competition took place. I drove only once back home to take a quick shower, eat something and put on some proper clothes.
I know I wrote I wouldn’t be there during the day, but I rethought it after the president of EKFL personally sort of apologized for the happenings in the fitness forum. So I decided to be present, because the others needed my help. And I was glad that I stayed: The organisation went good and after party also. Finally our crew and actor/producer Kalmet ended up in the fitness club “Tervisex”. After that I drove three of them home and Veera took the other ones. I don’t want to be in their places at the moment… with the head ache and stuff :P
Today I’m quite tired because I didn’t get enough sleep. I wanted to go to gym today after work, but I think I’m too tired for that afterwards. But if I have the power, then I’ll go and do some 60 minutes cross training!

I'm in love!

Today I visited the new gym in Pärnu and I really really liked it. It was very cosy and more comfortable as the gyms I have visited so far. I’m in love with it. I even brought a 10-time ticket in company with my sis (I paid of course), because I have the arthroscopy on 2nd of May and after that I can’t do any workout for a while. So my sis can use the ticked further on. I can’t wait to get well again and go to gym as much as I want to!Tomorrow is the big day for Estonian bodybuilders. They step on the stage to give a good “fight” against each other. Although I belong to the “organizers”, I won’t be there after 10 o’clock… because of certain reasons. But I hope the best man/woman wins!

Results of my training today:

Finally!

Finally it’s the last day of this fcking workweek and two days full of doing nothing are waiting ahead. Yesterday and today I was quite busy at work because our partners want all the offers as soon as possible, even better if the offers were already yesterday ready. I surely do my best but sometimes such things really piss me off! Now at least the most urgent things are done and I don’t have to think about these during my two days off anymore. I even dreamed about one offer today :(
Yesterday and today I’m not walking home because the weather is shitty. It is rather cold and it’s raining. I don’t want to catch a cold because my tests have to be clean on Tuesday. But I’m not giving up. My weight is out of control again and I just have to get it right once again. That is why I’m going to make a test-training in the new fitness centre in Pärnu tomorrow. Hopefully I will like it and start training there. The price is of course much higher than in my old gym, but I need a change…

Cramps and old pictures

Again I have problems with my legs. When I start walking, they convulse. I used to have this problem some time ago, when I was in Tallinn and tried to go to school on foot. I couldn't even walk 10 metres without having problems. Then I visited a doctor with this problem and she said I should take some magnesium supplements and drink more liquids. This advice didn't help at all.
I haven’t tried to walk long distances ever since. Now, on Monday, I started walking again and I must say: it is rather painful! On Monday, after 20 minutes of walking my legs felt fine again and yesterday it took over 30 minutes to get rid of the cramps in my legs. Is this normal? No it isn’t!
After the walking I of course stretch my legs and even give them a massage… but it isn’t helping at all. So I bought some magnesium again. Hopefully it helps this time!

Yesterday we finally got the pictures and one video of the event that took place on 3rd august in Jäneda – opening of the restaurant “Clazz”. This was organized by the crew of restaurant Olde Hansa and this day was just great. Firstly we gathered in Tallinn, and then we were taken to Jäneda with the train. A whole wagon was booked for us – for the employees of different tourism agencies. Then we walked to some forest and had to solve different puzzles, jump from a tree, climb over walls, collect some balls from the ground in a funny way and do many more extreme things. Afterwards we were taken to an old stable which was decorated as a restaurant. There they presented us the food and tableware they will have in that new restaurant.
It was a memorable day!
I picked some pictures of me and my colleagues and put them here:

Busy as a bee

On Saturday I found a little lizard on my way to the beach. At least I thought it was a lizard. Till now I don’t know what amphibian it exactly is… according to some pictures it looks like a Triturus cristatus Laurenti, but according to some other pictures it looks like something else. So, no idea what it is, but it is at the moment on my desk in an aquarium that I filled with stones, sand, branches, moss, worms, spiders etc. I tried to make it as cozy as possible for him, but I don’t even know what he needs :( So I will set him free again today. He is better off in the real nature than in an aquarium. I don’t want to torture him. So, farewell, Bruno!
On Sunday I did absolutely nothing. I just tried to be as lazy as I could.
Yesterday it was a busy day. As I’m for two weeks all alone in the office, I have plenty of things to do. The days go so quickly and that is good. I hate it when time goes slower than a snail onwards!
I decided to come to work by bus for the next two weeks. And go home on foot! Yes, on foot! It’s about 6,5 - 7 km from my workplace to my home, so nothing scary. And as I’m doing no other exercise at the moment, it surely will be good for my health. Surely you ask why only for two weeks? Because… on 02.05. I have the arthroscopy and I just don’t want to buy a gym ticket for a whole month and then just go there for only two weeks. So I will go home every day on foot FOR FREE! ;-)

I’m trying to write down my results every day also. And here is the first day:

Friday 13th and I'm a bitch

Today I’m feeling quite ok, except the slight stomach ache I’m still having. The day is going slowly and I’m trying to book a hotel in Riga for September. It seems impossible! All 3 or 4 star hotels are fully booked or overbooked. So I have to go there and build my own hotel!
Yesterday evening I coloured my nails green. I found this light green nail polish I bought some years ago and as it wasn’t hard and as my nails are with the right length right now, I decided to colour them green. I like this colour a lot!
Today in the morning I decided to put on some shoes with heels. I have quite many pairs of shoes with heels already. I don’t know why I have bought those because I used to hate heels. But lately I tend to like them. At least I tend to like to buy them :-)
It seems I’m becoming a woman – I tend to like feminine things I didn’t like before: colouring the nails, shoes with heels, feminine clothes (if I have the figure for that of course), make-up, hair accessories, shopping interior accessories etc. This is quite awful but I can’t stop it. Something is wrong with me! Help!
Highlight of the day was one of my ex-boyfriends from the year 2005. He called me a bitch. Nice, isn’t it? He is a bit fucked up right now and he vents his anger on me. Usually I don’t communicate with my exes after I have left them (98%) or they have left me (2%), but he was an exception. I don’t even know why. He is just a pig like they all are ;-) No exceptions! :-) Hopefully he leaves me alone now, after I said him he should drop dead. (Of course I didn't mean it literally!)

Quiet Wednesday

It’s been a while again and now I finally have the time and mood to write a few lines about the last days.
On Sunday I didn’t do much. In the morning we baked a cake with my mom and after that I synchronized the subtitles for the film “Turistas”. In the evening I watched some TV and went early to bed because I had to wake up early in the morning on Monday to drive to Tallinn.
On Monday I drove to Tallinn. I was 20 minutes too early but it didn’t matter. The punctuation began at 10:55 and as I opened my eyes it was 11:10. After that I just laid in bed and was semi-somnolent until 11:45 o’clock. I could have lain there longer but I didn’t want to. So, I put on my clothes and went to buy myself some food. I wasn’t allowed to eat or drink anything before the punctuation. After eating I drove back to Pärnu. I know that after a narcosis you shouldn’t drive and stuff, but I felt great and did so. This time the narcosis was different. And the whole procedure was different. On the first two times I slept quite long, this time I only slept on the “op table”. And last two times my stomach hurt quite a lot, this time it hurts only when I walk with a good pace or when I do faster movements. So, this time it’s quite ok. Who knows how it will be next time…
Yesterday I came back to work, after four free days. It didn’t feel like I had free days. I’m just as exhausted as I was before. The day went quite quickly as I had much to do. The high period is going to begin and we have much to do these days. We have to check which group is coming and which is not coming, we have to work out all the details, book guides, restaurants and events etc. Also we have to send the bills. A lot of work to do…
Today we ate some very good cake here because we celebrated an anniversary – I have worked in this company for a whole year now. Great! And my colleague said that she is very pleased with me and she wished that I would stay here for many many years. At the moment I like my job very much and as long they want me to work here, I’ll stay here!
Also I got from my colleague in Tallinn the pictures of our study-trip to Riga in the beginning of April ( I wrote about it on 04.04.07) and you can see some of these on the website:
http://apuuga.fotopic.net/c1253108.html .
Nothing special, but it was a nice trip and something else as the daily routine.

Feast and needles

Today we visited our grandparents in Viljandi (a small town about 100km east from Pärnu). We talked a lot, we ate a lot, the others drank a lot too and then we came back home. It was just a usual visit but very exhausting, like always.
On our way back I looked all the way out of the car window. I stared at the clouds and dreamed again: Dreamed about summer, dreamed about vacation, and dreamed about happiness.
I just had my last shot for this time. The needle didn’t want to go through my skin. Like on the first two times, the last 2-3 shots are the most difficult ones because I have to force the needle through the skin. The needles aren’t big at all, they are so tiny that one could hardly see them :P, but the skin is so tight and it feels like you force the needle through something very strong. I’m used to the pain already and so there is no problem anymore. Main thing, somebody gets happy and gets healthy children in the future.
Yesterday we finally got rid of the chinchillas we were selling. They were eight months old by now and we really didn’t have place for altogether five chinchillas. So, we sold two of them and hopefully they got a good home.

Dreaming sucks

Yesterday I dreamed about two things: First dream came while I was driving in Tallinn along the Vabaduse road and we were listening to some kind of jazz music from the radio. Automatically I imagined a sunny summer day in the countryside, a fancy black cabriolet car with a handsome man in it, me sitting next to him, cruising on a silent road away from the noises of town and listening very loud to classical music. In that dream I felt happy and smiled a lot. The wind was blowing in my long curly hair, sun stroked my cheeks and I was happy. Really happy!
The second dream was about having friends at my place on every weekend in the summer. We were grilling in my garden and chilling and having a lot of fun. Listening to some good house music, enjoying us and feeling just great.
I don’t like dreaming at all because it makes me feel alone again. The thing is that I don’t have any friends here in Pärnu. All my friends are in Tallinn or somewhere else. Not a single soul here with whom I could go out or have some fun! By now I’ve been living here in solitude for about one year already. Until now my only friend was sport. But for different reasons I left him two months ago too. So, I’m all by myself now for God knows how many days, weeks, months, years…

Trip to Tallinn and my new record!

As I wrote before, I visited my doc today. He examined me and said that the process is improving rather well and the punctuation takes place on Monday at 11 o’clock in the morning. I got some more shots for the next two days and my very last shot this time is on Saturday at 23 o’clock. The shot must be on time! Otherwise the punctuation is going to be a bit difficult.
As my sis came with me to Tallinn, we went “shopping” afterwards. We just went through almost all the shops in one department store and that was it. I found some really funky stuff but I didn’t buy anything. I just don’t need that stuff. I really don’t! I remember that a few years ago I wondered how my mom could “shop” for hours in some interior decoration shop. But now I totally understand her: So many beautiful things, so many ideas, so many visions and so many possibilities. If I only had one hundred rooms for decorating… This “shopping” thing comes with age! Really!
After that we drove back to Pärnu. From one town border to the other (approximately 120 km) it took only one hour and one minute. So, it’s my new personal record. Yahoo! I drove almost all the way smoothly with 120 km/h, only a few cars decided to “park” in the middle of the road with 90 km/h (legal speed) and so I had to slow down a few times. Usually I love to drive the car, but I must say, it wasn’t fun today… because of the strong wind. But what doesn’t kill you makes you only stronger ;-)

Wetting the baby's head

Yesterday we (I, my colleague and the secretary of Red Cross) visited our "boss" who is on maternity leave at the moment. She has a wonderful daughter who is 3 months old now. A cute little thing, I must say. She is a quiet baby and as a surprise to me - also a very beautiful baby. Usually the babies are overfed and fat and not cute at all, but this baby is something special ;-) She will be surely a heartbreaker in the future.
We ate some pizza and some cake, talked about work and stuff and then I drove everybody back home. It was a nice evening with colleagues.
Today my colleague celebrates her birthday. Some more cake for me, yahoo! She is six years older than me, but we have a very good match. We always have much fun at work (especially on Fridays) and that is just great. I’m so satisfied that I decided to come to work here. Oh, next week there will be some more cake again because it’s my anniversary – one year at this company. Yahoo! (If I’m not wrong of course.)
In one and a half hour my sis will come and then we’ll start towards Tallinn. She will do some shopping there and I’m going to visit my doctor at 14 o’clock. I feel like a pregnant woman at the moment – my stomach is a bit swollen and I can’t tighten it. Next week I’ll be normal again, except the stomach pains of course. But I don’t mind them. Main thing some couple will be happy again. Will I ever be happy?

Two days in Riga

I spent two days (Monday and Tuesday) in Riga. This city is ok, but nothing special really. The Old Town of Tallinn is more beautiful and somehow cosier.
I was in Riga with our company to check out the hotels because it’s good to know where we send our customers. Good to know where the hotels are situated, how they look like and how the rooms are. We visited the following hotels:
Islande**** - I just fell in love with this hotel. It’s a bit away from the Old Town but it was very nice and cosy and warm. And this hotel had a gym also – usually the gyms of hotels have only some equipment but this was something bigger. There you can really work out. So, if I have to spend a night in Riga, I’d choose this hotel for sure.
Europa City Riga*** - the façade looked quite strange and remembered some kind of a submarine. But the rooms were ok. A usual 3-star hotel, I’d say.
Europa Royale Riga**** – the hotel where we spent the night – the façade looks just gorgeous and this building is from the 19th century. But the rooms were too high and too strange. Just like in some palace: big and uncomfortable. Nothing for me! Nobody from us slept well there. It was spooky. But the breakfast was quite ok.
Valdemars*** - It’s a usual 3-star hotel. Nothing special for me there.
Albert***+ - I liked the restaurant of this hotel. It was with books and you could drink a coffee and read some really interesting thoughts. This hotel took its name after Albert Einstein and the whole hotel was decorated in the style of Albert Einstein. The rooms were also quite ok but the rack rate is high (if I remember correctly).
Domina Inn Riga**** - didn’t like it at all (as far as I remember). The interior was tasteless and rooms uneven. So, I’d take no groups there.
Monika**** – the lobby of this hotel was fine and they served the best coffee in Riga there. I also liked the colours of the rooms – orange and khaki green. Otherwise a usual 4-star hotel.
Hanza Hotel*** – the hotel isn’t ready yet and it is situated in a not so good location – behind the bus station. Some rooms were ready and it looked quite ok. So, if the clients are not fond of an Old Town view and like extreme locations, then this hotel is something for them.
Avalon**** – this hotel isn’t ready also, but if it’s ready, then it’ll be interesting… with an atrium and stuff. It is situated in front of the bus station and quite close to the Old Town. I will wait to see it soon!
To complete the part with the hotels in my blog I must say, that my favourites were Islande and Albert.

Otherwise I don’t have any news. Today is a usual workday and tomorrow I’ll be in my office until 11:30, then I’ll drive to Tallinn, actually Viimsi, to visit my doctor again. Next week I’ll donate my egg cells and then no shots anymore. For half a year I think. I don’t know yet if I’ll quit this donation thing or not... I have to consider it thoroughly.
On Friday or Saturday we maybe vist our grandparents in Viljandi, but that isn't sure yet. Hopefully the weather is good and we'll have a joy ride.

The New Beginning

Been a while again since my last entry here and at all… Trying to catch up the last more important events and happenings in my life with the next few lines (with my lousy English).
Been a lot ill lately – in the end of February I had a period with fever again, in the beginning of March I injured my knee at work. Then I was abroad for a week because of work and after that I felt quite ok. Even tried to start with my training again. But in the end of March some disease caught me again and until now I’m feeling quite dizzy. Everything I eat comes the same way out again. Today actually the food is staying inside of me. Yeehaa!
I haven’t been training for one and a half months now and won’t train for at least 2 more weeks (because of the donating). In the beginning it felt strange to be without training... But now I even enjoy it. I enjoy doing nothing! Yes, sometimes I feel guilty not doing anything at all, but I just feel tired. I really need a vacation soon. I’m thinking of beginning of May. Then I have a knee arthroscopy and I’ll have a week or two off then. Hopefully!
In the beginning of March I was in Berlin, on the ITB fair. Berlin is ok but the fair was too exhausting. Too crowded, too loud, too formal. Tomorrow I have to go to Riga with my colleagues. We’re going to visit hotels and restaurants there and be back on Tuesday evening. Hopefully I feel better by tomorrow. Otherwise I will puke all over the place :P OK, kidding. No puking! On Wednesday I’ll sit in my office and do some work and on Thursday I have to go to Tallinn (Viimsi) because of the donating again. Friday is free. So… only one day at work. Sounds good, doesn’t it? ;-)
I’m really thinking about that donating thing. Should I do it once more? This is my third time already. It would be ok, if I didn’t have to drive all the way up to Tallinn every time. I’m tired of driving. No, don’t get it wrong – I love to drive! But I’m just tired of waking up early and stuff! Lately I’m tired of everything actually. I think I really need a vacation soon! Very soon!
Enough for today!
C ya!
